Youth Weekend & Open Sunday!!

All three services were really awsome! But especially more so the 11am service! Personally, i think the band and choir did a great job!! Thumbs up! God's grace has lead us to have such an experience this year! Would really like to thank Jie as he's always encouraging the choir (and i could really hear him sing) =) Everyone did such a great job! It's great to be a youth! Even though the 9am service wasn't as great as the other two services, there was so much fun and we were really worshiping God! A little mistakes here and there were what made the moment light and fun while still being focused on God. Like how Justin played the doxology or how somebody in the choir would go out of tune. Can't believe it's over and can't wait for next year's youth weekend!We had open sunday yesterday. It was really fun but not exactly nuah. The amount of food we had to eat and the flour... My group members were Yoke Yee, Frankie, Kun Quan, Bethia, Andrew Fam, Tiffany, Chang Yee, Jeremy and Jessica. The first station was Carol's. We had to throw the bottle caps which had a number on it. And it's all Frankie's fault we had zero points. He had picked a bottle cap with the number 1 and he wanted a bigger number. And ended up picking zero. His cap landed on a number 5, but five times zero is? ZERO. Haiz~In the next station, we were at Mindy's station. We ate half a watermelon, 5 chilli padi, 5 lemon slices, and Frankie ate the Japanese beans which were sticky and ewww... We also counted from from 1 to 70, replacing the any numeber with 7 or mutiple of 7 with a clap. All I ate was watermelon and lemon slice. Hee.. Next was Joshua's station. We had to form the longest line with anything and everything on us. Including us. But we didn't have enough time so... Our line wasn't the longest it could be. The last and final station was Timothy's. Our whole group was supposed squeeze on top of 10 chairs and move the chairs from the starting line to to end while carrying plates of flour. So while our team were being sabotaged by other ppl throwing flour at us, we were pathetically moving the chairs at a very slow rate. Hee... But overall, it was very interesting.After open sunday, we played captain's ball! Because there were too many people, there were four groups altogether, with two games goin on at the same time. My group: Gary, Sulywn, Bethia, Andrew Fam, Adeline<, Linus and Eujin. First match, simply put, we were thrashed 6-2. Second match, it was a draw, 5-5. Last match, we finally won 6-3! But my group was injury prone. Hee... I fell on my left hand on the first two matches. 'Caused my palm and wrist some damage. Worse, Eujin bit his tongue when Abel hit him by accident. And it bled(duh!) for a little while and we resumed the game with him continuing play. The weird thing was, after he got injured, the opponent decided not to guard Andrew(our catcher) anymore, so we scored and won the game. Let me say something about Andrew's long distance throws. It gets better as he throws, but his aim leaves much to be desired! However, some of his throws were still great and accurate, which lead to us scoring. And Gary is simply fantastic. Good catcher, good intercepts, and great defending. Completely basketball style. =) At least our team was improving with each game ya. All the talk about captain's ball makes me want to play captain's ball now...
